Chief Johnson has served the Probation Agency since 1991. For the past 10 years, she has served as the Chief Deputy Probation Officer and, most recently, the Interim Chief Probation Officer.<\/p><p>\u201cChief Johnson has been with the department for 33 years and seen every nook and cranny of the organization,\u201d said Chair of the Board of Supervisors, Matt LaVere. \u201cThe Probation Agency is a complex organization and I have all the confidence in the world that she will succeed in this role.\u201d <\/p><p>Chief Johnson began her career with the Probation Agency as a Deputy Probation Officer. She ascended the agency\u2019s ranks to Chief Deputy Probation Officer in 2013. She was appointed to the role of Interim Chief Probation Officer in January 2023.<\/p><p>&#8220;On behalf of the Ventura County Superior Court, I would like to congratulate Gina Johnson on her appointment as Chief Probation Officer for the Ventura County Probation Agency,\u201d said Presiding Judge Kevin DeNoce. \u201cWe wholeheartedly wish her a long and successful tenure in the role.&#8221;<\/p><p>In addition to her dedicated service, Chief Johnson brings a depth of knowledge to the role having worked in many assignments including court services, community supervision, adult &amp; juvenile detention\/commitment facilities, and administration. She will lead an agency of over 400 staff members and an operating budget of approximately $80 million.<\/p><p>\u201cThank you very much for this opportunity,\u201d stated Johnson. \u201cThe Probation Agency is amazing to work with.
