We urge anyone that has not yet been fully vaccinated to do so as soon as possible.<\/p><p>Vaccination locations include local doctor offices, community clinics, and pharmacies. Several of these sites, including the Public Health Clinics in Oxnard and mobile clinics, offer walk-in options with on-site registration assistance on various days and hours. Visit <a title=\"www.vcrecovers.org\/vaccine\" href=\"https:\/\/www.venturacountyrecovers.org\/vaccine-information\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.vcrecovers.org\/vaccine<\/a> for an updated listing of where to get vaccinated.<\/p><p><strong>Use Face Masks Indoors<\/strong><\/p><p>Given that the highly transmissible Delta variant is estimated to be causing the majority of new cases in Ventura County, the state and the nation, and given the increase in cases among the fully vaccinated, we continue to strongly advise that everyone, regardless of vaccination status, use face masks while indoors in public spaces. Masks are required for unvaccinated individuals in indoor public settings and businesses including retail, restaurants, theaters, family entertainment centers, meetings, state and local government offices serving the public, among others. We strongly urge that individuals and businesses strictly adhere to this guidance.<\/p><p>Ventura County is aligned with the California Department of Public Health\u2019s (CDPH) masking guidance. As a reminder, CDPH requires that all individuals wear masks in the following indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status:<\/p><ul><li>On <a title=\"public transit link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/travelers\/face-masks-public-transportation.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">public transit<\/a> (examples: airplanes, ships, ferries, trains, subways, buses, taxis, and ride-shares) and in transportation hubs (examples: airport, bus terminal, marina, train station, seaport or other port, subway station, or any other area that provides transportation)<\/li><li>Indoors in <a title=\"K-12 schools link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/vaccines\/fully-vaccinated-guidance.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">K-12 schools<\/a> and <a title=\"childcare settings link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/community\/schools-childcare\/guidance-for-childcare.html#anchor_1613686926452\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">childcare settings<\/a><\/li><li><a title=\"Emergency shelters link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/php\/eh-practitioners\/general-population-disaster-shelters.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Emergency<\/a> shelters and <a title=\"cooling centers link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/php\/cooling-center.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cooling centers<\/a><\/li><li><a title=\"Healthcare settings link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/hcp\/infection-control-recommendations.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Healthcare settings<\/a><\/li><li>State and local <a title=\"correctional facilities and detention centers link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/community\/correction-detention\/guidance-correctional-detention.html#infection-control\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">correctional facilities and detention centers<\/a><\/li><li>Homeless shelters<\/li><li>Long Term Care Settings &amp; Adult and Senior Care Facilities<\/li><\/ul><p>Please be reminded that current <a title=\"Centers for Disease Control (CDC) link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/symptoms-testing\/testing.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centers for Disease Control (CDC)<\/a> and <a title=\"CDPH link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdph.ca.gov\/Programs\/CID\/DCDC\/Pages\/COVID-19\/Updated-COVID-19-Testing-Guidance.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CDPH<\/a> COVID testing guidelines recommend testing for COVID-19 if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or have had close contact with a known or suspect case, regardless of vaccination status.<\/p><p>Please visit <a title=\"www.vcrecovers.org\/testing link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vcrecovers.org\/testing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.vcrecovers.org\/testing<\/a> for the latest information on testing and test sites. Testing is available through health providers, employers and private vendors.
