VENTURA, Calif. โ€“ On Tuesday, October 21, during their regular meeting, the Board of Supervisors proudly recognized 25 dedicated employees for reaching the milestone of 25 or more years of continuous public service. Collectively, these individuals represent a remarkable 720 years of commitment to serving Ventura County residents.

The honored employees span a wide range of County departments, showcasing the depth of institutional knowledge and community impact achieved through long-term public service. From public health and safety to administrative leadership and frontline service delivery, these individuals exemplify the values of excellence, accountability and service that define County government.

โ€œThese employees are the backbone of the agencies they represent across the County of Ventura,โ€ said 4th District Supervisor Janice Parvin, Chair of the Board of Supervisors. โ€œTheir dedication over decades has shaped the programs and services that our communities rely on every day. Weโ€™re grateful for their service and proud to celebrate their accomplishments.โ€

The Employee Continuous Service Recognition Program is part of the Countyโ€™s broader efforts to attract and retain a skilled, diverse workforce by acknowledging the long-term contributions of team members who choose to build their careers in public service. The quarterly recognition highlights career milestones while reinforcing the Countyโ€™s commitment to service, career growth, and community well-being.

โ€œHonoring this kind of longevity is about more than numbers. Itโ€™s about people,โ€ said Dr. Sevet Johnson, County Executive Officer. โ€œIt reflects the trust, relationships, and institutional strength that only time and a dedicated workforce can build.โ€

The Quarterly Employee Continuous Service Recognition is coordinated by the Countyโ€™s Human Resources Department, with honorees recognized during a formal presentation at a Board of Supervisors meeting. Participants receive a commemorative certificate and public acknowledgment of their milestone.
